It is with sad hearts that we must announce the postponement of our musical, KINKY BOOTS, which was scheduled for January 2022 in the Riverside Theatre, Coleraine.
The theatre management has informed us that they are awaiting improvement works to take place and until further notice are unable to host large-scale productions and those which require a high level of technical support.
Ballywillan Drama Group are working with the theatre management to establish an alternative space within the University of Ulster, Coleraine Campus, in order that KINKY BOOTS can take place in early 2023.
It is very disappointing for our members that we have had to postpone KINKY BOOTS, especially as we were quite far into the rehearsal process, but we are determined to remain positive, dust ourselves down and move forward.
Until the situation is resolved regarding a venue for KINKY BOOTS in 2023, Ballywillan Drama Group will schedule other productions that are suitable for smaller available spaces. Rest assured that BDG will continue to provide you, our public, with first class entertainment and we are confident that you will support us.
An announcement will be made shortly regarding our forthcoming replacement production. Tickets will also go on sale at that point.
