On Saturday 30th April, Ballywillan Drama Group made two major donations, after a huge fundraising effort over the past few years.
BALLYWILLAN DRAMA GROUP was delighted to present Jeremy Lewis, General Manager of the Riverside Theatre, with a Defibrillator (AED) to be kept within the Theatre. This was part of a three year fund-raising effort by the group.
According to the British Heart Foundation there are around 60,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests every year. Acting quickly when someone is in cardiac arrest and fighting for their life is crucially important. It is thought a patient’s chance of survival falls by approximately 10 per cent for every minute that they don’t receive a shock from a defibrillator and effective CPR.
Following Ballywillan Drama Group’s Spectacular STRICTLY COME DANCING event, we were delighted to present Action Cancer with a donation in excess of £1,000!
